The good news is that research has been documenting that anyone who has a strong intention to change a habit or create a new behavioral pattern can do it (short of big physiological challenges such as addictions). It takes at least 21 days of repetition with no backslide. If one backslides, then starting from day one is indicated.
So with the above as a premise then coaching becomes even more positive for the coachee! This is what happens:
• When someone contacts me for a consult for changing habits re stress-anger management and sounds motivated (vs. depressed; keep in mind I’m talking about coaching, not therapy) then I am happy to share this research and they are happy get started.
• Each aha, each positive action becomes part of the bigger success plan.
• EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques – tapping is introduced to get past blocks and enable positive thinking.
• The accountability is both to themselves and to me. The progress begins with the first conversation when there is motivation involved.

DSC02197“They” say that people’s fear of public speaking is worse than our fear of  death.  The fear  and anxiety that  public speaking causes is the #1 fear in the  world!

  • Are you one of the many whose knees shake and voice quails if you have to present a speech or compete in your sport or ask the boss for a raise?

Did you know that

We spend 92% of our time an energy worrying about things that:
1. We have no control over
2. We can’t possibly change
3. Have misperceived

Make a list of things you worry about. Divide your list intocategories listed at the top of this outline. How do you want to redirect your focus?
What would happen if we channeled this energy and effort contructively rather than adding “fuel to the fire”? Worrying is like steeping on the gas pedal while the car is in neutral: we create a lot of noise, use op energy and don’t go anywhere!
