Below this short-sweet blog are previous experiences with kindness of strangers.

Recently, we were parked near JFK entrance waiting – as the plane was delayed – and the battery died – having AC on for a while must’ve been last straw!! I tried to contact our road service -to no avail – started walking (darkness quickly approaching) to exit nearby and I started chatting to lady who asked if we needed anything – I took a leap and asked for a ride to our terminal -or any terminal – and voila! done! We arrived about the same time as the passengers picking up – took Uber home-and the car was not towed overnight -whew!! All is good after new battery :)-

Travel Adventures: The Kindness of Strangers continues

I recently was on a Sicilian holiday with my husband between family visiting in London and Amsterdam. Everything was well planned and going wonderfully – we visited the beautiful coastal resort Taormina, Palermo and then ancient Greek ruins in Agrigento. The rental car was fine and our European GPS working well until…

I’ve always gone out of my way to help others – including strangers.  So whenever other’s kindness is directed to me, I actually wonder if it’s a Karma thing – or simply good folks being nice! Probably a combination.  Anyway,  there I was in Amsterdam last week visiting with family, temporarily separated from my husband […]

Recently, as a guest on Stevie Mack’s radio show I  briefly spoke about being grateful & “the kindness of strangers.” I started to reminisce  re a number of years ago when I was experiencing extreme emotional and physical challenges. ( read more about that http://www.balanceandpower.com/meeteileen.php).  I didn’t know about EFT then- I surely would’ve helped […]

One of the reasons that forgiveness can be so challenging is that we feel we are condoning the actions of the person who caused our suffering, but this is a misunderstanding of what is required. In order to forgive, we simply need to get to a place where we are ready to stop identifying ourselves with the suffering that was caused us. Forgiveness is something we do for ourselves, and our forgiveness of others is an extension of our readiness to let go of our own pain. Getting to this point begins with fully accepting what has happened. Through this acceptance, we allow ourselves to feel and process our emotions.  EFTtapping can help!!!

When you “act as if,” you send powerful commands to your subconscious mind to find creative ways to achieve your goals–it instantly programs the reticular activating system (RAS) in your brain to start noticing anything that’ll help you succeed…

And it sends strong messages to the universe that this end goal is something you really want – activating the potential “Law of Attraction”. As soon as you start acting “as if,” you’ll start drawing to you the very people and things that’ll help you achieve these goals!

The outer experience of acting “as if” will help create the inner experience–a goal-achieving mindset–that will take you to the actual manifestation of that experience!

I’ve helped many life and career coachees manifest with this included in the “protocol”.  Complimentary consult: 516 623 4353

Eileen in Long Island Newsday | August 5, 2018

“CEOs spend 72% of their time in meetings; only 3% with customers: study”

From newsday.com by JAMIE HERZLICH

“A recent study found that CEOs at large companies spend about 72 percent of their time in meetings. Poorly planned, overly long meetings with fuzzy agendas are a major drag on productivity, the survey found.

A knowledgeable meeting leader is key, says Eileen Lichtenstein, chief executive of Balance & Power Inc., a Uniondale-based coaching, training and consulting firm. “The person running the meeting needs a lot of insight and preparation into the agenda of the meeting” she says. ”

Effectively communicating our thoughts to others makes our interactions more meaningful and productive. The passion and conviction we feel about our ideas can often cause us to blurt them out before we have fully worked through them in our minds, and this can result in misunderstandings and conflict. Instead, you may choose to formulate your thoughts carefully and select the most effective words to convey them to enhance the probability that others will listen with open minds. Choosing words carefully before speaking can minimize misunderstandings and be helpful in expressing your ideas clearly. A good way to do this is by simply pausing before you speak to clarify your thoughts in your own mind.  By taking the time to choose your words carefully, you can lend a new depth and meaning to all of your communications with others. At the same time,  clear communications will attract like-minded people who share your vision and want to work cooperatively and productively, thereby forming meaningful and productive connections and enhancing current connections.

I was researching the fear of not knowing in relation to medical diagnosis, aging-death concerns for family members and current safety issues with terrorism.  Several clients are currently experiencing these challenges… I  learned that this is an actual “phobia”:  “Agnosiophobia” that is quite prevalent in these times, not only to the above-mentioned issues, also in applying for work, having an interview, presenting a proposal, online dating, meeting someone new and more.

For some, the “not knowing” is extremely anxiety producing, as is any phobia.  The good news is that a modality I am certified in, in the field of energy psychology is EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as tapping, researched backed to reverse and transform fear!  I have successfully worked with client’s transforming fear of flying, heights, water and more! View testimonials and find out more here  My book and ebook provide these examples.  I’m excited to share this transformation more actively, now that folks are being more open about the fear of not knowing.  I find life and executive coaching, mindfulness strategies, creative positive visualizations and affirmations when combined with EFT is the formula for successful outcomes.
