Do you believe you are loveable? If you believe you are not loveable, I’m asking you to challenge that belief. Take a moment to identify at least three (or more) lovable traits that you possess, such as being generous, compassionate, friendly, kind, considerate, thoughtful, interesting, funny, etc. Write these down on post-its and place in conspicuous-to-you places.  You may also want to keep a  notepad with them handy.
Many attractive, successful single people have some very negative, limiting beliefs that sabotage finding a soul mate or being in a healthy relationship. The list usually goes something like this:

-I’m too old.
-I’m too fat.
-I’m too damaged.
-I have too much baggage.
-I am too successful.
-I am not successful enough.
-All the good ones are taken.
-Nobody I want, wants me.

There is plenty of evidence that love is available to everyone regardless of age, weight or income or any other feeble excuse.
No matter what mistakes you have made in the past, you are still able to wake up every day and be able to start again.

Perhaps you need some help with this as well as being “accountable” to someone other than yourself.  Perhaps you want to add EFTtapping to your self-help “toolkit.

Empowerment Guide
Keep in mind the following strategies to help you stay well and happy:

• Do things to bring you a sense of fulfillment, joy and purpose, that validate your
worth. See your life as your own creation and strive to make it a positive one.
• Pay close and loving attention to yourself, tuning in to your needs on all levels.
Take care of yourself: nourish, support and encourage yourself.
• Release all negative emotions–resentment, envy, fear, sadness, anger. Express
your feelings appropriately; don’t hold onto them.
• Hold positive images and goals in your mind, pictures of what you really want in
your life. When fearful images arise, re-focus on images that evoke feelings of
peace and joy.
• Love yourself and make loving the purpose and primary expression of your life.
• Create fun, loving, honest relationships that allow for the expression and
fulfillment of needs for intimacy and security. Try to heal any wounds in past
relationships and with parents.
• Make a positive contribution to your community, through some form of work or
service that you value and enjoy.
• Make a commitment to health and well being, and develop a belief in the
possibility of total health – physically and emotionally.
• Accept yourself and everything in your life as an opportunity for growth and
learning. Be open to possibilities. Be grateful.
• When you make mistakes, even “bad” ones, forgive yourself, learn what you can
from the experience and move on.
• Keep a sense of humor.

Yes, when you feel bullied or “unfairly” attacked emotionally – verbally it is usually difficult to respond without anger or to walk away and release. Reacting with anger adds fuel to the fire and it’s best to leave and release – even if it’s temporary it interrupts the stress-adrenaline -cortisol cycle and hopefully can allow you to act responsibly and let go instead of actions that you may very well regret.  It can be helpful to realize the other’s thoughts-words-actions may have nothing to do with you! even though it seems that way.

When you leave the scent taking a few deep breaths, doing tapping EFT, taking a walk are all activities that help to feel better and regain personal energy balance.

I’ve helped many clients with this challenge in my Westbury, NY office and Skype as well as larger groups onsite and webinars.

In today’s busy world it often feels like there is not enough time to accomplish everything we want to. We may find ourselves wishing there were more hours in the day or pleading for just one more day in the week. What if there were a way to create the time we need in our lives to do it all? You can learn how to use mindfulness techniques to change the speed and nature of your thoughts so that you simply get more done in less time. By changing the nature of your relationship with time, you will become more efficient, more creative and more productive.

It is amazing how creative we can be about not getting on with the task at hand. If you ever find yourself doing something other than what you should be working on, almost certainly there is an underlying fear manifesting. Additionally, our minds tend to run a commentary on what is going on around us – sometimes referred to as ‘inner dialogue or chatter’.

Perhaps your intentions-goals are clear or maybe there are too many choices. I can help you (or a group that you form) release your fears, focus and get to it! – with mindfulness meditation and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, tapping) via Skype, my Westbury, NY office or your venue.  Contact me for a FREE consult: 516 623 4353

Clinical EFT is highly effective in reducing depressive symptoms in a variety of populations and settings. EFT was equal or superior to TAU and other active treatment controls.

The posttest effect size for EFT (d =1.31) was larger than that measured in meta-analyses of antidepressant drug trials and psychotherapy studies.
EFT produced large treatment effects whether delivered in group or individual format, and participants maintained their gains over time.
This meta-analysis extends the existing literature through facilitation of a better understanding of the variability and clinical significance of depression improvement subsequent to EFT treatment.

Mindfulness is about living in the moment and being fully aware of what is going on at all times.  When we “practice” this while mindfully meditating – following the breath and not allowing any thoughts in…letting them float by like clouds on a windy sky…then there is a “spillover effect” into everyday life: being able to be mindful while doing (almost) anything and having clearer focus, greater calm and enhanced creativity-productivity!

It’s easy to forget to live in the moment while keeping the big picture in sight.  It’s helpful to remember that life is transient;  many “unfortunate” or “worrisome”  things are temporary and that the only time that truly exists ever is right now. RIGHT NOW is the ONLY time you can do or change anything in your life. And NOW is the only time you have. There are few of us that live in the present, we are forever anticipating what is to come or remembering what has gone.

I’ve been trained in the practice of mindfulness by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and co-facilitated  MBSR groups with a local medical doctor.  Mindfulness is in the curriculum for Anger Management, and is highly effective in helping to create good choices in all areas of life and career.  Corporate and organizational seminars and classes onsite are available.
