Halfway through 2016! New Year’s resolutions long gone – it’s time to regroup – reprioritize, evaluate, and move into action! Perhaps new strategies need to be put in place. Often it’s time for some coaching, mentoring and accountability to someone in addition to yourself.  Always a free phone consult for personal – couples and small groups in my office (Westbury) or Skype sessions.

Often we find answers by turning inward for a short time.

Relax & Recharge – Enjoy Summer!

I’ll be presenting locally in Long Island 6/16 and am available to present this and related topics on your site…

Time can serve as a powerful ally as novel experiences and activities are introduced into everyday existence. Time works for us when we devise our daily and weekly schedules with great care, because our choice to use the time available to us in one way or another empowers us to create a truly individualized existence.  The flexibility with which you navigate your schedule helps you accomplish everything on your to-do list easily.

You can feel calm in the midst of chaos when you are conscious of your personal needs and prepared to incorporate them into your schedule.  A busy schedule can become a source of stress while struggling to meet intense timelines.  Suggestion:  Make time to pursue activities directly related to your personal wellness by creating interludes between bouts of intense activity and calming or stress releasing  pursuits such as meditation, reading or exercise.

A solopreneur has much more flexibility available.  For instance, I usually take a break mid morning to work out or go for a walk outside.  The time spent “in the zone” opens up creativity and often this is when I get my “aha’s” and new ideas that are exciting!  Those on company time have a bigger challenge of creating time as an ally- and doable! How do you create calm in the midst of chaos and time as an ally?

Need help with this and related challenges? Complimentary 20 minute phone consult:

– Amsterdam 2012 –

Happiness is subjective, perception rules.  Yet there are some simple keys to wellness and happiness, which go hand in hand.  The thing about happiness is that the premise often flows and changes, depending on people and circumstances in our lives.  It’s important through all the changes to be aware of your core values and be in alignment with them.

These simple truths are not always evident and hold the keys  to wellness and happiness:

  • Follow your passions; do things that bring a sense of fulfillment, joy and purpose, that validate your worth.  See your life as your own creation and strive to make it a positive one.
  • Pay close and loving attention to yourself –  tune into your needs on all levels.  Nourish, support and encourage yourself.
  • Release resentment, envy, fear, sadness, anger.  Express your feelings appropriately.
  • Visualize positive images and goals.  Whenever negative or fearful images emerge, re-focus on images that evoke feelings of peace and joy.
  • Create loving, honest relationships that allow for the expression and fulfillment of needs for intimacy and security.
  • Heal wounds from past relationships and with parents.
  • Make positive contributions to your community through work or service that you enjoy
  • Make a commitment to health and well being.  Develop a belief in the possibility of total health – physically and emotionally.
