Yes, when you feel bullied or “unfairly” attacked emotionally – verbally it is usually difficult to respond without anger or to walk away and release. Reacting with anger adds fuel to the fire and it’s best to leave and release – even if it’s temporary it interrupts the stress-adrenaline -cortisol cycle and hopefully can allow you to act responsibly and let go instead of actions that you may very well regret.  It can be helpful to realize the other’s thoughts-words-actions may have nothing to do with you! even though it seems that way.

When you leave the scent taking a few deep breaths, doing tapping EFT, taking a walk are all activities that help to feel better and regain personal energy balance.

I’ve helped many clients with this challenge in my Westbury, NY office and Skype as well as larger groups onsite and webinars.

Ready to Keep Soaring? then STOP WORRYING!!!

Did you know that
40% of worrying is about things that will never happen
30% of worrying is over things that can’t be changed
10% of worrying is over health (which only gets worse when you worry)
We spend 92% of our time and energy worrying about things that:
1. We have no control over
2. We can’t possibly change
3. Have misperceived

Make a list of things you worry about. Divide your list into categories listed at the top of this outline. How do you want to redirect your focus?  VISUALIZE THIS!
What would happen if we channeled this energy and effort constructively rather than adding “fuel to the fire”? Worrying is like steeping on the gas pedal while the car is in neutral: we create a lot of noise, use energy and don’t go anywhere! EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques/ Meridian Tapping) works extraordinarily well to overcome anxiety, fear and worry.  more.. http://www.balanceandpower.com/eft.php

This week I’ve been especially introspective and contemplative with my undertaking Jack Canfield’s fully revised and updated “The Success Principles”  and coinciding with Rosh Hashonah and next week Yom Kippur – the 10 days now in between are named “Days of Awe” or the Days of Repentance. This is a time for serious introspection, a time to consider the sins of the previous year and repent before Yom Kippur.

Key to Jack C’s teaching is the formula E + R = O (Event + Response = Outcome”).

Key to making this formula work is taking responsibility for your everything without complaining, blaming or excuses. Well, with that said I’ve made a bunch of my own “resolutions” apologies and taken a few words and phrases out of my vocabulary (a work in progress…it takes at least 21 days to change a habit). I’m also EFT tapping everyday for reinforcement and I’ve taken time to review my long and short-term goals. Having taken this on and reviewing personal development material with my commitment to take one hour daily for reading, listening, writing and the inherent happiness and beginnings with a new year (Rosh Hashonah), I am passing on the good feelings to you, my dear reader. It’s always good to review principles that resonate!

Be an active listener – while being patient (waiting with a positive attitude) and when what is said by the other has offended you, if you feel is an untruth and/or feel bullied, do not react. If possible, respond calmly without blaming, or walk away.  Easier said than done; especially for highly sensitive people (often an extremely positive quality).  If you need help with effective communication and managing emotions, call me for a free consult: 516 623 4353  www.balanceandpower.com

Does your mind keep going over the same choices without resolution?

Perhaps you’ve not analyzed pros and cons; perhaps you’ve over analyzed.

Perhaps you’re procrastinating – always based on fear (of failure, of being judged, of success, of being controlled).

Perhaps you’re in perfectionism mode and stuck.

Perhaps you need to figure out where-what your strengths are and what your personal power is before you can move forward with good choices.

Clinical EFT is highly effective in reducing depressive symptoms in a variety of populations and settings. EFT was equal or superior to TAU and other active treatment controls.

The posttest effect size for EFT (d =1.31) was larger than that measured in meta-analyses of antidepressant drug trials and psychotherapy studies.
EFT produced large treatment effects whether delivered in group or individual format, and participants maintained their gains over time.
This meta-analysis extends the existing literature through facilitation of a better understanding of the variability and clinical significance of depression improvement subsequent to EFT treatment.

We all have a dark side – or the voice in your head  – or the egoic mind.   We tend to take this voice seriously–we believe it, agree with it, and don’t question it. We believe it because we are programmed to believe our own thoughts, regardless of whether they are true and helpful or not. We tend to take this voice seriously–we believe it, agree with it, and don’t question it.  This mental voice is often unkind, belittling, fearful, self-doubting, judgmental, complaining, confused, and unhelpful. It turns out that the voice in our head is not a very good guide to life, and yet we tend to accept what it says and do what it suggests

Much of the time, this voice seems like our own thoughts and voice and sometimes like a parent, other authority figure or friend. We identify with them–we feel they reflect who we are. We don’t tend to question our own thoughts, although we readily question other people’s thoughts, especially if those thoughts are different from ours. But when we stop and examine what this mental voice is saying, we discover a lot of contradictory advice, misinformation, prejudices, judgments, and other negativity. This mental voice is often unkind, belittling, fearful, self-doubting, judgmental, complaining, confused, and unhelpful.
Lifetime programming to pay attention to and believe this aspect of the mind is usually very strong, and it takes not only seeing the truth about it, but also a practice, as in meditation, of not giving our attention to this mental voice before we gain enough distance from it to experience freedom and the joy and peace of our true self and also of EFTtapping  to release negativity and stress and motivation to take positive action.

I am facilitating groups and one to one sessions that address these issues as well as reversing procrastination (always fear based.)  See details and register: www.balanceandpower.com/events.phpanger-m
