It’s a gardening, spring-cleaning time of year.
I’ve been told (uh-uh!) that I need to revisit my patience (tolerance?) quotient.. I commented that I’ve greatly – noticeably improved over the (many) years 0f maturation, inner work, etc. and perhaps it’s time to recultivate this ..as I have been losing it (patience- that’s all I hope!) more easily of late- in fact just yesterday with my aged mom- much to my regret.
I know that a challenged tolerance level often leads to frustration-anger and letting go of possibly harsh words. I’m working on my new summer workshop- retreat, date-location TBA.
ANGER MANAGEMENT/ASSERTIVENESS / FORGIVENESS AND FREEING THE SELF
which will explore anger and its expressions, moving quickly from textbook definitions of anger to the more spiritual realm, in which, first and foremost, I accept that no one can make me angry, but I allow myself to become angry — therefore, I am responsible for my own anger. Experiential and introspective exercises to help transform anger into productive feelings will drive the workshop, and assertive responses as a healthy expression of one’s thoughts and feelings will be practiced. Because lack of forgiveness is connected to anger, a section of the workshop will go deeply into forgiving as a means to free the self from the pain and hurt caused by anger. We will use EFT (Emotional Freedon Techniques, tapping) as one of the vehicles, a modality known to be very successful for transforming anger.
My ”Stress Resilience for Busy People” 3 week teleclass series starting 4/14 will teach-review many strategies to reduce overwhelm-stress and release tension. register: http://www.balanceandpower.com/events.php
