Being grateful and being in nature are two recommended strategies for feeling good and reducing stress. Try combining them and see the magnificent results! If you can’t be in nature- then sit quietly and visualize somewhere you’ve been- and use all your sensory imaging to be there..see the sights, hear the sounds, smell the scents. Feel your chest expand as you breathe in the greatness of the Universe, feel your power and the acknowledge your own grateful thoughts. Make time to acknowledge your success! The Kindness of Strangers

Recently, as a guest on Stevie Mack’s radio show I briefly spoke about being grateful & “the kindness of strangers.” I started to reminisce re a number of years ago when I was experiencing extreme emotional and physical challenges. ( read more about that http://www.balanceandpower.com/meeteileen.php). I didn’t know about EFT then- I surely would’ve helped myself more and faster. I recall what amazed me was that when I was doing simple errands people often “bent over backwards” – a gas station attendant, for instance, and did extra little things to help. And there were a few instances when much bigger kindnesses were turned in my direction. I would journal about them, and express gratitude. In hindsight, I’m also grateful that I was “open” to receive what was being given- and realize that perhaps I was given what I asking for- even if I had not verbalized it. We all need to reach out more and to be open, receptive and grateful. On a scale of 1-10( 10 being highest), how do you rate :

Kindness to strangers- how often to you notice yourself reaching out to a stranger?
Being grateful
Expressing gratitude
Being open to kindnesses directed at you

The Art of Allowing

We create abundance by allowing it in- letting go of resistance in the form of fear, anger and shutting down. Each area of life must be consciously “opened” : relationshps, career, financial, spiritual, health, recreational. We can do this by meditating with the mantra

“let abundance into the area of…
allow $$ to flow freely into my life..
allow love into my life and allow me to send it out”.

This process is similar to prayer, with more personal involvement. We must be very aware and alert to change to notice when the circumstances / conditions are right for abundance: then it’s up to you to take action!! We must move towards success, it doesn’t “come” to us.

EFT is an additional avenue to opening the gates of allowing.

An example of a set-up phrase with Dr. Carrington’s “choice method”:

“Even though I am struggling with financial issues, I choose to allow abundance to come onto my life.”

KARMA!

I love when stuff is in-my-face karma! This has happened very recently and beyond, and is still manifesting after an introduction last year. Both of these are biz related and about being totally letting go of competitiveness, that is, going with the philosophy that “there’s enough to go around”- which is in total harmony with “abundance” theories.
So here is the telling:)
Tonight I gave a talk in a local bookshop in Long Island (that is now carrying my newly published book, SOAR! with Resilience: www.balanceandpower.com/soarwithresilience.php) to a well attended group of singles- organized by a singles event planner who won my raffle for a complimentary coaching session at a well attended networking venue…
2) at the beginning of the year, a colleague, who I invited to collaborate with me in LI Head Start trainings at a Staff Development-Conference venue “passed” me on to a CUNY(City University of NY) rep. I am currently doing trainings and have had advance group sales of my book for courses.
